Students are exposed with skills in General Machinist in Semester 1 and 2, students will involve in designing and making ‘single and compund die’. In Semester 3 and 4, students will be trained to design and make ‘progresive die’. In general, students will be skilled workers to cater the industrial needs in manufaturing of die.
After completing their training, students will receive ‘Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia’ Level 1 to Level 3 accredited by Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran and Technology Certificate commissioned by the Department of Human Resource.
There are good job opportunity for skilled workers in Tool and Die Making and there are a lot of engineering firms, machining workshop, machine tool factory and workshops that make and repair machinery plants.
They also have the chance to work in manufacturing industry such as making car components and others which related. There are specialisation in making die for stamping, forging or plastic and rubber molds. Besides that, they also have the chance to work in labs which involve tools like optical comparator and optical flats.
