Students will be exposed to cutting and welding works of metal, carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminium using Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) method, Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) and Submerge Arc Welding (SAW) methods. Students will also be given training on plants and inspection methods, testing and supervising such as visual inspection, non destructive testing (NDT) and destructive testing (DT).
After completing their training, students will receive ‘Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia’ Level 1 to Level 3 accredited by Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran and Technology Certificate commissioned by the Department of Human Resource. Job opportunities mostly in manufaturing industry and metal building, engine and machine assembly plant, furniture industry and construction structure works.
Graduates can work as welder in oil filter factory, workshops repairing and maintaining vehicles, electrical tools and also industrial machinery plant or running their own business by opening welding workshop or welding by contract.
